Meghan Chugg is a Senior Managing Director at Applecart. Previously, she was the Head of Corporate Reputation Research Solutions at Morning Consult, where she led the development of research-driven strategies for managing corporate reputation.
Tell us about what you did prior to joining Applecart:
Immediately prior to Applecart I was Head of Corporate Reputation at Morning Consult, which involved shaping the company’s approach to measuring public opinion specific to companies and their impacts on the world. It was fascinating work and I got to spend time with communications and public affairs leaders from across the Fortune 100 and from some of the most influential trade groups in the world. Before that, I worked at several agencies as a strategic communications consultant. Some of my favorite experiences included leading campaigns for major consumer healthcare and quick service restaurant brands as they faced evolving business pressures, major social and political change, and rapidly shifting expectations from stakeholders.
Why did you decide to join Applecart?
I’ve spent the last two decades helping clients search for creative ways to reach very specific audiences – which often meant cobbling together and adapting digital advertising solutions built originally for mass consumer marketing. Applecart has solved the essential challenge facing strategic communicators by delivering the ability to reach specific named individuals and those closest to them. This is a product I know communications leaders need and want, and I’m excited to introduce this solution to teams doing the hard work of shaping public opinion.
What is your favorite Applecart use-case?
I love the way our clients can use Applecart to precisely target decision makers on a B2B sale. Normally, it can take months if not years for a company to court a major prospective client – and opportunities to engage time-strapped executives are far and few between. It’s amazing that we can help our clients build a surround-sound campaign around the handful of people who ultimately decide these major deals. Talk about making a direct impact on business outcomes!
What should people outside of Applecart know about Applecart?
